GRAND OPENING SERIES at THE HISTORIC HIPPODROME THEATRE AND TAYLOR MANSION!!
Come out and experience one of the FIRST elite celebrations of 2012 at one of the most unique, elegant, historic venues.
The Hippodrome opened in 1914 as a mixed-use vaudeville and movie theatre, the seating capacity was 1,050. It is located in the Jackson Ward district and attracted a mainly African-American audience from the locality.
In the 1930’s and 1940’s it attracted big stars who appeared on the stage, such as Bill ‘Bojangles’ Robinson, Ethel Waters, Ella Fitzgerald, Ray Charles, Moms Mably, James Brown, Billy Holiday and Nat King Cole. It was acquired by the Abe Lichtman circuit in c.1935 and the Hippodrome Theatre was listed as being a ‘Negro’ theatre in Film Daily Yearbooks for many years.
Today, The Hippodrome will be a huge live entertainment venue, special event, banquet service with a full service dinning and a high end VIP night club!
As a tribute to the times of it’s origin, we present to you THE RVA BOOTLEGGERS BALL! A hip, swank, and modern remembrance of the “Prohibition”…without the restrictions!!
So come out dressed to impress and ready to party like the 20’s & 30’s!

Very excited to announce a new music collaboration under way between Washington, D.C.’s Brian Geometrix Sadiarin and Richmond, VA’s Ameera Leawnna. DJ Geometrix, signed to Sound Smugglers LLC, is one of the top Artists in the DC circuit with residencies at Fur Nightclub & Ultra Bar - Washington, DC for Glow Washington DC. I can’t imagine how awesome this track release will be for these two as his remixes and sets are already amazing. Special thanks to Bobby Newyin for helping put this together!
**At the moment, Ameera is doing work with Artists out of NY/LA/VA/FL/Germany and now DC. Her voice will be one to reckon with quite soon..**
